Bigger Jackpots. Better Prizes. New Multiplier.

The Mega Millions® Game

Mega Millions is now bigger and better than ever!

Bigger & Faster Growing Jackpots

The exciting Mega Millions game has a starting jackpot of $50 million instead of the previous $20 million!

Jackpots grow faster more frequently. If the jackpot is not won, it will typically increase by a minimum of $10 million per roll, depending on sales.

Better Prizes & Odds

Say goodbye to breakeven prizes – meaning whenever you win, you will receive more than the cost of the ticket!

The Mega Millions game has improved odds

  • Overall odds are 1 in 23.08, compared to the prior odds of 1 in 24.12
  • Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 290,472,336, down from 1 in 302,575,350

Built-In Multiplier

Amplify your non-jackpot prize by as much as 10 times the original amount. Picture yourself receiving a prize multiplied by one of the dazzling options: 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or even a staggering 10X!

This exhilarating multiplier is seamlessly built into every Mega Millions ticket. When you buy your ticket, the multiplier is automatically included — no extra steps required.

$5 Per Play

Each play costs $5 to support the value of the changes to Mega Millions.

This is only the second price adjustment since the launch of Mega Millions in 2002 and the first since the current game matrix was adopted in 2017.
